Psychopharmacology

Psychopharmacology is the scientific study of drugs that primarily target receptors and other mechanisms in the central nervous system (CNS), which play a role in information transmission between cells and along cells.

Psychiatric medication is used to treat a wide spectrum of mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, OCD, psychosis, eating disorder, ADHD, bipolar disorder and more. These drugs have effects on mood, thinking, behaviour, perception and sensation.
