Anxiety, Goal Management Training and ADHD

Share

There are various approaches to remedying cognitive impairment in daily life. Goal Management Training (GMT), for example, has been used to help patients with various mental health conditions to be more effective and satisfied in their daily lives. It includes mindfulness training, dividing goals into sub-goals and other techniques.

The attached study reported significant improvements in everyday executive functioning, psychological well-being, and symptoms of ADHD from baseline to 8-month follow-up in the cognitive remediation treatment and the control group. The intervention group reported a significantly higher reduction in symptoms of anxiety compared to treatment as usual (TAU).
