As per This Girl Can, a movement empowering girls and women and closing the gender activity gap, 48% claim that feeling unfit hinders their participation in physical activities. Body image concerns (45%) and self-doubt (40%) also contribute to women’s resistance to exercise. With 33% worried about sweating and 25% concerned about their period, various barriers prevent women from engaging in exercise.
